And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth. Genesis 14:19
We see the same commercial term applied again here, possessor or purchaser. There is no question about God owning everything. He is the possessor, the purchaser and creator of heaven and earth. So the real question is..
What can we as individuals give to the God who owns everything?
What we can give someone is the enjoyment of enjoying their joy. We can give to God the gift of valuing covenant as much as he does.
Our kidneys and adrenals are the foundational level thinking point. As we release adrenaline into our system, our body reacts faster then we can fully process what is going on. That thinking is best framed around the issue of covenant.
When our spirit has a passion for covenant, understands covenant, rejoices in covenant, is able to get emotionally engaged in the nuances of covenant, then we have given God an immense gift.
The only thing in our control is what we love. When we love covenant as much as he loves covenant we are giving him an immense gift .
Spirit, I call you to attention in the name of Jesus Christ and I speak to you from my own experience and my own passion. Passion drives, passion informs, passion frames and causes me to see everything differently than other people do because my passion is different.
I doubt that you spirit have any reservations about your covenant with God. I doubt that you believe that covenants are wrong or you don’t want to be in covenant with God but a cognitive belief is different than a passion.
I bless you spirit with increasing your passion for covenant, increasing your passion for understanding how covenant works, what the nuances of covenant are and increasing your understanding of the faithfulness of God in covenant, the wisdom of God in covenant, the amazing mysteries of how God works through covenants in all of the broken world around us.
I bless you spirit with bringing your passion to bear on the thinking dynamics of both left and right adrenals so that they can see the world and see the perceived issues of the world through the grid of passion- for the God of all covenants and the covenants of our great God.
I bless you spirit with executing not just a cerebral agreement but an emotional spiritual passion for the perfection of the covenant God has offered you.
